Specific ways to giveThe Annual Fund for Health Care Excellence– Help fund programs, specialized equipment, and staff education through this annual drive. You may choose to focus your gift on medical and nursing education and research, the hospital’s Centers of Excellence, or wherever there is a need. Memorials and tributes – Create a lasting remembrance of a loved one or honor a person or event. Special projects – Support fund-raising initiatives aimed at making a difference in the hospital or community. Learn about our current projects. Planned gifts – Make a gift through bequest provisions in a will, gift annuities, transfer of real estate, marketable securities or a life income agreement, such as a charitable remainder trust or a life insurance policy. Learn about planned giving. Capital gifts – Help fund new equipment, technologies and improvements in our facilities. Learn about our current projects. Matching gift program – Check with the human resources department at your workplace to see if your employer matches contributions. Telefundraising – Occasionally, the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation reaches out to those who are familiar with the hospital by phone to raise funds for important projects. The callers have no medical history or other confidential information about you. In 2009, our phone campaigns benefited the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute, the Piper Breast Center, and the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing.
