The Wound Clinic provides comprehensive care for non-healing wounds.
Wounds are a common problem. Causes include:
- Diabetes
- Vascular problems (including poor circulation)
- Pressure ulcers
- Non-healing surgical incisions
- Radiation therapy wounds
- Vasculitis, pyoderma, granulosum, and other autoimmune disorders.
- Infections
- Trauma
- Inappropriate footwear
Our Healing Process
The health care team at the Wound Clinic, will assess your situation, create a customized treatment plan, coordinate referrals to additional specialists if necessary and monitor your healing progress.
Evaluation
The initial visit will include a review of your complete medical history and an examination of the wound that may include obtaining diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, etc.). The care team can then determine the cause of the wound and create a customized treatment plan.

Once a treatment plan is developed, you will receive instructions for caring for the wound at home and tips for preventing wound recurrence.
Our Team Members
Physicians who care for patients at the Wound Clinic care team include three vascular surgeons - Peter Alden, MD, Alex Tretinyak, MD, Addi Rizvi, MD, one general surgeon – John O’Leary, MD, and a plastic surgeon – George Landis, MD.
Nurse Practitioners – Sarah Isakson, RN, CNP, CWOCN and Jennifer Pena, RN, CNP are an integral part of the Wound Clinic Team.
Patients are also cared for by Infectious Disease specialists, podiatrists and certified wound ostomy and continence nurses.
The Wound Clinic is located on the Main Hospital’s fourth floor.
