Abbott Northwestern Pharmacy Practice Residency

The purpose of the Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Pharmacy Residency Program is to provide experience and knowledge while developing the skills needed to fulfill the challenges of evolving roles in pharmacy practice. The focus of the Residency is to prepare Residents to practice as pharmacists in health system pharmacy settings in a variety of roles. Specifically, the program is designed to develop residents’ confidence in providing patient care and practice management. Residents are also required to complete an appropriate project and medication use evaluation.

Off-site elective practice experience
Residents are allowed one off-site practice experience as an elective, based on interest and availability. Examples include small hospital practice or hospice/palliative care.
