Register now for Running to Keep Hearts Beating

MINNEAPOLIS 07/09/2010--Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in the 5K or 15K Running to Keep Hearts Beating Sunday, August 15 at 8 a.m. in Edina.

Running to Keep Hearts Beating is sponsored by the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation and Minnesota Distance Running Association. Proceeds from all participants will fund life-saving heart health research and initiatives through the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation.

The race starts and finishes near Abbott Northwestern’s Center for Outpatient Care at 8100 W. 78th St. The USA Track & Field-certified course follows Braemar Blvd. to Gleason Rd. then south to W. 78th St. The 5K will do one loop.

Cost is $20 through August 9, then $25. Discounts are offered to USATF and MDRA members and Allina Hospitals & Clinics affiliates.
