Allina supports Women on the Move
MINNEAPOLIS 04/09/2009--The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation's Women on the Move's goal is to motivate and support participants to live healthier lives and prevent heart disease. This year's program starts Wednesday, June 3 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Nokomis Community Center, 2401 E. Minnehaha Parkway in Minneapolis.
Women on the Move consists of eight weekly sessions. Each week, a health professional will give a 20-minute presentation. Then, there will be one hour of physical activity. Activity coaches will accommodate participants' different levels of fitness and physical activity.
Participants will also train to participate in the Boston Scientific Heart of Summer Race on Saturday, July 25. The $45 program fee includes race registration. For more information visit mplsheart.org, e-mail info@mhif.org or call 612-863-3979.
