Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute offers a golf league and annual golf tournament, making it possible for people who have had polio, amputations, arthritis, strokes,
spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to enjoy golf with family and friends. Participants can try a variety of adapted equipment, receive individualized
golf-swing instruction and lessons from a golf pro.
The Golf Program would like to thank the Marvin and Elayne Wolfenson Fund for Golfers with Disabilities and the Toro Corporation.
Costs
Golfers are responsible to pay the course greens fee of $10 each week. Golf carts are
courtesy of Braemar Golf Course. There is a nominal registration fee for the league
and tournament. A scholarship may be available upon request.
Location
The golf program is held at Braemar Golf Course, 6364 John Harris Drive in Edina, Minn. (952-826-6799). Golf lessons
are offered the first five weeks and a golf tournament is held at the end of the summer.
